  • Submissions may include any of the following: clinical, education, leadership, management, research, quality improvement, and professional issues related to critical care nursing.

  • Should a peer reviewer be able to identify the authors or the paper or for some reason believes there to be a conflict of interest, immediate notification is provided to the Chief Editor. Should this occur, the peer reviewer will destroy the manuscript files received.

Peer Review process:

  • CJCCN assigns peer reviewers who have content and/or methodology expertise to manuscripts approved for review (usually 4 weeks).
  • Peer Reviewers complete the review and return the peer review forms to CJCCN.
  • If approved with minor/major revisions, authors complete revisions (usually 4 weeks).
  • Upon return of the author revisions, the Peer Reviewers are requested to complete a second review of the manuscript and provide a final recommendation (usually 4 weeks).
